First use of the Grafana Datasource

  1. OpenNMS needs to be up an running
  2. Login into Grafana and select Data Sources
  3. Select the pre-installed OpenNMS Data Source
  4. Click on Type and select OpenNMS
  5. Save & Test to finish

Hints for larger test

Give the VM more RAM, i.e. 8 GB

Add port forwarding in case you use NAT for 8980 and 3000

config.vm.network "forwarded_port", guest: 8980, host: 8980
config.vm.network "forwarded_port", guest: 3000, host: 3000

Allow OpenNMS Java Virtual Machine to use more Memory by creating an opennms.conf file like this and restart OpenNMS:

cat /etc/opennms/opennms.conf
JAVA_HEAP_SIZE=4096

systemctl restart opennms
